मिन्नू एक बहुत प्यारी और आज्ञाकारी छह साल की बच्ची थी। उसके अच्छे व्यवहार के कारण उसके माता-पिता उससे बहुत प्यार करते थे।
एक दिन, मिन्नू की माँ उसे बाजार लेकर गई। बाजार में चलते हुए मिन्नू ने एक गुलाबी रंग की सुंदर नकली मोतियों की माला देखी। माला बहुत चमकीली और प्यारी थी। मिन्नू ने अपनी माँ से कहा, “माँ, मुझे ये माला चाहिए!”
माँ ने कहा, “बेटा, ये माला खरीदने के लिए पैसे लगेंगे। अगर तुम घर के कुछ छोटे-छोटे कामों में मेरी मदद करोगी, तो मैं तुम्हें पैसे दूंगी। फिर तुम अपनी माला खुद खरीद सकोगी।”
मिन्नू बहुत खुश हुई और उसने एक कामों की सूची बनाई। उसने अपनी माँ की हर काम में मदद की। माँ मिन्नू से खुश हुईं और उसे माला खरीदने के लिए पैसे दे दिए।
मिन्नू ने खुशी-खुशी माला खरीदी और उसे हर समय पहनने लगी। वह माला को इतना पसंद करती थी कि उसे सोते समय भी पहनती। बस नहाते समय ही नहीं पहनती थी, क्योंकि माँ ने कहा था कि माला पानी से खराब हो जाएगी।
हर रात, मिन्नू के पापा उसे कहानी सुनाते थे। एक दिन, कहानी सुनाने के बाद पापा ने पूछा, “मिन्नू, तुम मुझे कितना प्यार करती हो?” मिन्नू ने कहा, “पापा, मैं आपसे बहुत प्यार करती हूँ!”
पापा ने कहा, “तो क्या तुम मुझे अपनी गुलाबी माला दोगी?”
मिन्नू ने तुरंत कहा, “पापा, मैं आपसे बहुत प्यार करती हूँ, पर ये माला मत लीजिए। इसके बदले में आप मेरी गुलाबी बार्बी ले लीजिए।” पापा मुस्कुराए और बोले, “ठीक है बेटा।”
कुछ दिनों बाद, पापा ने फिर वही सवाल किया, और मिन्नू ने फिर माला देने से मना कर दिया।
फिर एक रात, मिन्नू कहानी सुनते-सुनते सो गई। उसके हाथ में माला थी। पापा ने धीरे-से माला निकालने की कोशिश की, तभी मिन्नू जाग गई। उसने पूछा, “पापा, आप मेरी माला क्यों ले रहे हैं?”
पापा ने उसके पास रखा एक डिब्बा खोला और उसमें से असली गुलाबी मोतियों की माला निकाली। उन्होंने कहा, “बेटा, ये तुम्हारी असली माला है। मैं तुम्हारी नकली माला इसलिए लेना चाहता था ताकि तुम्हें ये असली माला दे सकूँ।”
मिन्नू ने खुशी से कहा, “धन्यवाद पापा!” और उसने तुरंत अपनी नकली माला छोड़ दी।

Real vs Fake life lesson for kids; A Lesson from Minnu’s Story
Minnu was a sweet and obedient six-year-old girl. Her parents loved her very much because of her good behavior.
One day, Minnu’s mother took her to the market. While walking through the market, Minnu saw a beautiful pink pearl necklace. It was shiny and lovely. Minnu said to her mother, “Mom, I want this necklace!”
Her mother said, “Dear, this necklace costs money. If you help me with some small tasks at home, I’ll give you money, and you can buy it yourself.”
Minnu was very happy and made a list of tasks. She helped her mother in every possible way. Her mother was pleased and gave her the money to buy the necklace.
Minnu bought the necklace joyfully and started wearing it all the time, even while sleeping. She only removed it while bathing because her mother had told her that water might ruin it.
Every night, Minnu’s father would tell her bedtime stories. One day, after finishing a story, her father asked, “Minnu, how much do you love me?”
Minnu replied, “Papa, I love you so much!”
Her father then said, “If you love me, will you give me your pink necklace?”
Minnu quickly said, “Papa, I love you a lot, but please don’t take my necklace. You can take my pink Barbie doll instead.” Her father smiled and said, “Alright, sweetheart.”
A few days later, her father asked the same question again, and Minnu once more refused to give her necklace.
One night, Minnu fell asleep holding her necklace. Her father tried to gently take the necklace from her hand. Just then, Minnu woke up and asked, “Papa, why are you taking my necklace?”
Her father opened a box kept nearby and took out a real pink pearl necklace. He said, “Dear, this is your real necklace. I wanted to take your fake one so I could give you this real one.”
Minnu happily exclaimed, “Thank you, Papa!” and immediately gave up her fake necklace.

We should let go of fake and unworthy things in our lives, such as bad habits, anger, and negative thoughts. God is ready to give us the best and real blessings, but only when we let go of the fake ones.
