उसने सोचा, “मैं किसी घर से खाने के लिए कुछ मांगता हूँ।” वह एक घर के पास गया और दरवाजा खटखटाया।
दरवाजा खुला। एक सुंदर लड़की बाहर आई। उसका नाम सुमन था।
रोहन ने झिझकते हुए कहा, “क्या आप मुझे एक गिलास पानी दे सकती हैं?”
सुमन ने देखा कि रोहन बहुत थका और भूखा लग रहा था। उसने कहा, “पानी क्यों? मैं तुम्हें दूध लाकर देती हूँ।”
सुमन रसोई में गई और एक बड़ा गिलास दूध ले आई। रोहन ने धीरे-धीरे दूध पिया।
दूध पीने के बाद रोहन ने पूछा, “इस दूध के कितने पैसे देने होंगे?”

सुमन अब बड़ी हो गई थी। एक दिन वह बहुत बीमार पड़ गई। डॉक्टरों ने बताया कि उसे एक बड़ी बीमारी है। उसे शहर के बड़े अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया।
उसकी बीमारी का इलाज एक मशहूर डॉक्टर को करना था। डॉक्टर का नाम था डॉ. करण।
डॉ. करण ने सुमन का इलाज शुरू किया। इलाज में कई महीने लग गए। लेकिन उनकी मेहनत से सुमन ठीक हो गई।
सुमन और उसका परिवार बहुत खुश थे। लेकिन वे परेशान भी थे। उन्हें चिंता थी कि इतने लंबे इलाज का बिल बहुत ज्यादा होगा।
कुछ दिनों बाद अस्पताल ने सुमन को बिल दिया।

सुमन को समझ आ गया कि वही लड़का, जिसे उसने सालों पहले दूध दिया था, अब डॉक्टर बन गया है।

A Glass of Milk
Long ago, there was a little boy named Rohan. He was very poor. He made a living by selling small things from door to door. This was how he paid for his school.
One day, Rohan felt very tired. His stomach was empty, and he was very hungry. He became so weak that he could hardly take another step.
He thought, “I will ask for some food from a house.” He went to a house and knocked on the door.
A beautiful young girl named Suman opened the door.
Rohan hesitated and said, “Can you please give me a glass of water?”
Suman looked at Rohan. He seemed very tired and hungry. She smiled and said, “Why water? I will get you a glass of milk.”
Suman went to the kitchen and brought a big glass of milk. Rohan drank it slowly.

Dr. Karan worked very hard. It took him many months, but finally, he cured Suman completely.

After a few days, Suman received the hospital bill.
With trembling hands, she opened the envelope. But what she saw left her in tears of joy.
